In early 2009, a group of committed citizens led by lifelong resident Jim Hamilton, came together to take on the challenge of redesigning the revitalizing Ely Memorial Park. A community-led initiative created by and for the residents of Lambertville, N.J., Friends of Ely Park is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, tax-exempt organization.
Our mission is to transform Ely Memorial Park in Lambertville into a new and inviting centerpiece of community life, a destination for recreation, and a symbol of the city’s distinctive character. The project will also increase the safety of the streetscape along Route 29, the main transportation corridor through the city. With your help we will succeed.
